The Local’s Review: The Point Crab House

While there are many well-known restaurants in Annapolis, you may be surprised to learn that some of the best seafood in Anne Arundel County can be found outside the historic district. One restaurant offering great seafood—accessible either by land or water—is The Point Crab House located on the Magothy River in Arnold. Popping onto the scene in 2012, it has become a regular spot for those willing to venture just a short drive or boat ride out of Annapolis.

Featuring garage-style doors that open out onto the docks on three sides of the restaurant means you will enjoy a water view from almost anywhere you sit. You can tie up at the dock to dine in or enjoy take out on the boat.

Perfect for a casual weekend lunch or a romantic evening dinner, their jumbo lump crab cake is one of the best I’ve ever had. The entrée menu has plenty of seafood options priced under $20.
